As a true Formula 1 fan, this magnificent track should be on your bucket list. Spa-Francorchamps is considered by many drivers as the most beautiful circuit in the world! With some innovations, such as the infrastructure and ‘the bus stop’, the track is still an authentic and historic race track that follows the natural slopes of the landscape. Corner Eau Rouge is a real gem! The drivers race 44 laps on the 7.004 km long track. Furthermore, Spa-Francorchamps has 2 DRS zones where the drivers can give full power. In short: you do not want to miss this spectacular Grand Prix!
Fantastic and beautiful. What also makes Spa-Francorchamps special are the two pit lanes. For safety reasons a second pit lane has been created. The second pit lane is called the ‘bus stop’. The name came about because of a subsidy request for the circuit. Instead of applying for money for the circuit, the money was applied for a bus stop, after which the corner was named the ‘bus stop’.
The Formula 1 race on Sunday is, of course, the highlight of the weekend. But besides the race, there is so much more to experience on and around the circuit. For example, at the Fan Zone at the foot of Raidillon, you’ll find all kinds of activities such as F1 simulators, a tyre-changing competition, merchandise stalls and even various concerts and performances. We recommend bringing some of your own drinks to the circuit (Note: no alcohol and no glass).
Besides the standard Formula 1 programme, this weekend also includes a sprint qualifying session + race, Formula 2, Formula 3 and the Porsche Supercup. A weekend filled with plenty of racing action! If you want to secure the very best spots to take it all in, the circuit opens as early as 06:00 in the morning. The real action kicks off on Friday at 09:55 with the Formula 3 free practice. On Saturday, the spectacle starts at 10:00 with the Formula 3 Sprint Race, and on Sunday it begins as early as 08:30 with the Formula 3 Feature Race. More than enough excitement to keep you entertained all weekend!
