The race for the coveted Ballon d'Or is always one of the most anticipated discussions in the football world, and 2024 is no exception.
The previous football season has barely ended, but as a football fan, you’re probably already eager for the new season to begin. So, the question is: when exactly do the various football leagues kick off? Will the season open with a clash or a derby and how can you get the best football tickets for your favourite club? The 2025/26 season starts on the weekend of 16–17 August. The full schedule will be announced on 18 June, but fans can already look forward to a season full of spectacle. Support your favourite club from the very first minute!
Just like last season, this one is set to be full of surprises. Will Liverpool maintain their good form, or will Arsenal finally claim the title? Manchester City and Chelsea will both be aiming for a top-five spot, while Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham will need to work hard to regain their form after last season.
Last season’s surprise packages, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle, could be dark horses once again. Meanwhile, newly promoted teams Leeds United and Burnley FC are eager to prove their Premier League credentials.

The 2025/2026 Serie A season begins on the weekend of 23rd–24th August. Just like last year, it’s set to be another exciting season full of surprises!
After last season’s intense title race, Internazionale and Napoli are once again favorites for the championship. The battle for European football will be fought between a host of clubs. Juventus, Roma, Atalanta, Lazio and Bologna all want to finish in the top four which will allow them to play Champions League.
AC Milan, after a disappointing year, will be determined to return to the top. Sassuolo is also back after a year away and could shake things up with their Serie A experience.

Bayern Munich remains the big favorite, but Bayer Leverkusen will be looking to challenge them again. RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt will have to defend their spot in the top four against Dortmund. After a disappointing season, Dortmund are out for revenge.
Keep an eye on Freiburg and Mönchengladbach, both aiming for European football.
Finally, Köln are determined to start their return to the Bundesliga with full commitment.

The 2025/2026 La Liga season starts on the weekend of August 15th to 17th. Get ready for more tiki-taka football and fierce rivalries in Spain.
As always, Real Madrid and Barcelona are favorites, but Atlético Madrid will also be in the title hunt. Athletic Bilbao, Villareal, and Real Betis have their sights set on European football again.
Promoted team Levante will be eager to secure their old mid-table spot in their return to La Liga.

The new Eredivisie 2025/2026 season will officially start during the weekend of August 8th to 10th. Football fans can get ready for a season filled with excitement, fierce competition, and plenty of surprises
All eyes will be on the traditional top three: Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. Last season, Ajax and PSV demonstrated that the title race could remain unpredictable until the very end. Meanwhile, Feyenoord will be seeking revenge after last year’s disappointment.
At the same time, clubs such as AZ and FC Utrecht are close behind. Both teams are improving and are aiming to finish in the top four this season.
Then there are FC Volendam and Excelsior, who are returning to the Eredivisie after strong seasons in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. They will be eager to prove themselves and secure their place in the top division.
