The F1 calendar 2027 has been announced and the new season promises to be another spectacular journey around the world. From iconic street circuits to absolute classics, and from European favourites to faraway destinations, the Formula One calendar is packed with race weekends that we as fans are already looking forward to.

The biggest change is, of course, that two fan favourites, Zandvoort and Barcelona, are no longer on the calendar. In return, we get two interesting additions: Portugal and Turkey.

Formula 1 season consists of 24 Grand Prix's across five continents. The championship starts in Bahrain and finishes in Abu Dhabi. Portugal and Turkey return to the calendar, while Zandvoort and Barcelona disappear. 

12-14 March 

The Bahrain International Circuit is located in the desert of Sakhir and is known for its atmospheric night race under the floodlights. The combination of long straights, heavy braking zones and wide corners often creates exciting overtaking opportunities. Due to the desert surroundings, sand on the track can affect grip, making the Bahrain Grand Prix extra unpredictable. 

19-21 March 

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is one of the fastest street circuits on the Formula 1 calendar. The race takes place along the Red Sea and has a spectacular atmosphere in the evening. With high speeds, narrow sections and fast corners, this circuit demands courage and precision. That combination makes the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix an intense race to experience live. 

02-04 Australia 

The Australian Grand Prix brings Formula 1 to the heart of Melbourne, where Albert Park turns into a lively race festival. 09-11 April 

Suzuka is one of the most loved circuits among drivers and fans. Its unique figure-of-eight layout, fast S Curves and iconic 130R make it a true classic on the calendar. 16-18 April 

The Chinese Grand Prix is held at the modern Shanghai International Circuit, with its distinctive layout and one of the longest straights of the season. The iconic opening corner combination puts heavy demands on both tyres and drivers. Thanks to the wide track, strong braking zones and strategic tyre wear, China often delivers overtaking action and surprising races. 

30-02 April/May 

The Miami Grand Prix is about more than racing alone. Around the Hard Rock Stadium, Formula 1 comes together with entertainment, music and luxury hospitality. The circuit combines long straights with technical corners, while the atmosphere feels typically big and American. For fans who want to combine a race weekend with sunshine, show and city energy, Miami is a standout choice.

21-23 May 

The Canadian Grand Prix is held at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, a track where speed and risk sit closely together. Long straights, heavy braking zones and walls right next to the circuit often create spectacle. The famous Wall of Champions makes the track even more iconic. 04-06 June

18-20 June 

The Portuguese Grand Prix returns to the Formula 1 calendar and will be held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão. 30-01 July/August 

The Hungarian Grand Prix is held at the Hungaroring, just outside Budapest. The circuit is tight, twisty and technical, giving drivers very little room for mistakes. Overtaking is difficult, so qualifying and strategy often play a major role. With its summer atmosphere, packed grandstands and location near Budapest, Hungary is an attractive race weekend to visit. 

03-05 September 

The Italian Grand Prix at Monza is all about pure speed. Long straights, heavy braking zones and legendary corners make this circuit one of the most iconic places in Formula 1. With the Tifosi in the grandstands and the unique Italian race atmosphere, Monza feels like a weekend full of history, passion and spectacle. 

10-12 September 

The Spanish Grand Prix brings Formula 1 to Madrid, where the race weekend revolves around speed, city energy and Spanish passion. 24-26 September 

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku is known for its unique mix of narrow city streets and extremely long straights. 01-03 October 

The Turkish Grand Prix returns to the Formula 1 calendar and will be held at Istanbul Park. The circuit is known for its flowing layout, elevation changes and the famous Turn 8, a long corner that demands a lot from the drivers. As a striking addition to the calendar, Turkey is an interesting race for fans who want to combine a technical circuit with the atmosphere of Istanbul. 

08-10 October 

The Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most spectacular night races of the season. Around Marina Bay, the drivers race between the skyline, bright lights and narrow walls. 22-24 October 

The United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas brings Formula 1 to Austin, Texas. The circuit combines fast corners, elevation changes and a spectacular climb towards the first corner. 29-31 October 

The Mexican Grand Prix is held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, at high altitude. Because of the thinner air, engines, brakes and aerodynamics are pushed to the limit. The absolute highlight is the Foro Sol stadium section, where the cars drive between packed grandstands. With its passionate crowd and festive atmosphere, Mexico is one of the most energetic races of the season. 

05-07 November 

The Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos almost always delivers drama. The circuit is short, intense and full of elevation changes, giving drivers very little time to rest. Changeable weather, passionate grandstands and rich Formula 1 history make São Paulo one of the most atmospheric races of the season. This is the kind of Grand Prix where anything can happen. 

18-20 November 

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is one of the most striking races on the calendar. Under the neon lights of the Strip, high speeds, sharp corners and a unique night-time atmosphere come together to create a true spectacle weekend. With its mix of Formula 1, entertainment and glamour, Las Vegas is a race that is all about the experience. 

03-05 December 

The Qatar Grand Prix is held at the Lusail International Circuit, a modern circuit in the desert.  10-12 December
