What are the best grandstands at the Abu Dhabi GP?

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has traditionally marked the end of the Formula 1 season for many years. Time and again, the circuit proves that it knows how to provide a spectacular ending. Yas Marina Circuit may not be the largest in terms of the number of grandstands. However, the grandstands themselves are excellent. Each one offers a good view of the entire circuit and is covered. So, it’s just a matter of which view you prefer. Let’s take a closer look at the five grandstands in Abu Dhabi.

Main Grandstand

First up is the Main Grandstand. This grandstand offers views of the start and finish lines of the circuit. You can also see the podium ceremony, and if you are sitting in the middle, you have an excellent view of the teams’ pit boxes too. In short, it’s a premium grandstand.

North Grandstand

The North Grandstand surrounds turn 5. This is the famous turn where the championship was decided in 2021, and where the drivers brake hard. This gives you a perfect view of the cars and of an important overtaking area on the circuit.

West Grandstand

Another grandstand located at one of the circuit’s overtaking zones. It offers a view of the chicane at turns 6 and 7. Drivers come off a long straight here, so they have to brake hard to get through the chicane properly. From the West Grandstand, you can also see part of the end of the circuit. This is just before they turn onto the main straight.

Marina Grandstand

The Marina Grandstand offers a diverse view of the race. First, there is the long straight between turns 8 and 9, where the drivers race past at high speed. You can also see the technical section of the circuit comprising turns 10, 11 and 12. If you are sitting on the south side of the grandstand, you can also see part of turn 13. In short, it doesn’t get any better than this!

South Grandstand

And finally, the last grandstand: The South Grandstand. The South Grandstand offers a great view of the important Turn 9. The cars come down the long straight and then have to brake to negotiate this turn properly. This is followed by the Marina Section, where you can see the drivers’ technical skills in action. There is often overtaking here, so you are close to the action! Another nice feature is the beautiful view of the marina area of Yas Marina.

Firstly, it includes one day of free admission to one of the amusement parks on Yas Island. You can choose from Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, Yas Waterworld, and SeaWorld. In short, there is something for everyone.

What’s more, the world’s biggest artists are set to make the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix an unforgettable experience. The following artists will perform during the After Race concerts from Thursday to Sunday: Benson Boone (Thursday), Post Malone (Friday), Metallica (Saturday) and Katy Perry (Sunday).

Free shuttle bus

A free shuttle bus service will be available during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend. This allows you to travel around the circuit for free. How convenient! There are five different routes, so make sure you know which one you are boarding. Some buses stop at all the grandstands, while others stop at popular spots near the circuit.
