There are also some huge matches on the schedule as winter approaches. Think of Liverpool against Manchester United, Arsenal against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal. Besides the traditional top clubs, it is always great to fully immerse yourself in a smaller club on matchday and get to know it better. This season, the Premier League welcomes three new teams: Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City. Each of them is a unique club with its own identity, adding something special to the Premier League.
Coventry City secured promotion as champions of the Championship and finally return to the top level after 25 years. The Sky Blues even dropped as far as League Two during those years, so for the fans, this return feels like a dream come true.
Ipswich Town also make their return to the highest level, and they do so after just one season in the Championship. The Tractor Boys can count a world-famous musician among their supporters, as Ed Sheeran is a lifelong fan and even co-owner of the club. As a tribute, the singer was given the number 17, a nod to his birthday on 17 February.
Hull City complete the line-up through the play-offs. The Tigers beat Middlesbrough 1-0 thanks to a goal from Oli McBurnie deep into stoppage time and will play in the Premier League again for the first time since 2017. In their familiar black-and-amber striped shirts, a new adventure begins for the Tigers.
It is always special to follow a club when some of the best players in the world are on the pitch. The Premier League is packed with international stars, iconic stadiums and matches that you really have to experience live.
At Arsenal, players like Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz bring quality, creativity and big-match energy to the Emirates Stadium. For many football fans, watching a match there is a dream, especially when the atmosphere rises and the title race starts to take shape.
There are also plenty of stars to admire at other top clubs. Manchester City have Erling Haaland leading the line, while Liverpool can count on Virgil van Dijk at the back. Add the energy of Old Trafford, the intensity of Anfield and the modern matchday experience at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and there are more than enough reasons to plan a Premier League trip this season.
